I hope to help you find a better, happier, more peaceful path through life. Whether you are considering therapy at a time of crisis, or as a way to address an ongoing issue, I will provide you with a warm, safe and non-judgemental space to work things through. My goal is for you leave your time in therapy with self-compassion, knowledge, understanding, and the tools you need to continue benefiting from our sessions for the rest of your life.
How I work
I am an integrative therapist, which means I have been trained to work using a variety of therapeutic techniques from different schools of psychotherapy. My approach has developed through my years of client work and further training, but what I have found most useful is to begin in a very client-focused way. I want to listen to you, to get to know you and build the foundations of trust and openness. From there we will build in other ways of working, perhaps looking more at your past with a psychodynamic approach, or using CBT techniques, or both.
I offer therapy in different settings. Traditional counselling takes place as you’d expect, in a private room in my practice. Movement therapy takes place outside, in a variety of locations around Bristol. You can stick to just one type of therapy for the duration of our work together, or if we decide it's appropriate, you can switch between different options.
My beliefs
Therapy is for everyone. It shouldn’t be scary, stigmatised or a luxury. I believe every person can benefit from therapeutic work, and for many people, working with a therapist can be a completely life changing experience.
I offer a variety of settings for my work as I believe that some people are missing out on the benefit of this experience as they are not comfortable in the therapy room. For this reason, I think it is important to offer online, telephone and outdoor movement therapy as options for people to try out and find what works best for them.
Credentials
I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I was awarded a Distinction in my Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (UEL) in 2017. Since then I have worked in private practice in London, before relocating to Bristol in 2021. I attend regular trainings to keep building my knowledge and skills so I can help my clients as much as possible.
